Since 1994, has carried on a diverse litigation practice, including administrative, criminal and regulatory law and commercial litigation. Recognized as a leading practitioner by Lexpert® in the areas of Aboriginal Law, Litigation – Public Law and Professional Liability and by The Best Lawyers in Canada in the areas of administrative and public law and criminal defence. Served as commission counsel to the Walkerton Inquiry (2000–2002), Commission of Inquiry into the Actions of Canadian Officials in Relation to Maher Arar (2004–2006) and Commission of Inquiry into the Investigation of the Bombing of Air India Flight 182 (2006–2009). Lead counsel for the Office of the Chief Coroner at the Inquiry into Pediatric Forensic Pathology in Ontario (2007–2008). Represented the Commissioner of the Cornwall Public Inquiry.
