On March 9, 2007, the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, Canada's leading addiction and mental health teaching hospital, signed a 10-year information technology outsourcing agreement with IBM Canada Limited. Under the agreement, IBM will provide the data centre and desktop information technology services required to support CAMH's operations. The relationship with IBM is an important component in CAMH's strategic direction and consolidation of operations at its Queen Street site.
CAMH was represented in-house by Kate Dewhirst, and by Blake, Cassels & Graydon LLP in Toronto with a team comprised of Richard Corley, Marc Shewchun and Rebecca Katzin (IT), Greg Kanargelidis (tax) and Andrea York (employment).
IBM Canada was represented by Ari Blicker, in-house legal counsel, along with Robert Bowman. They received support from an in-house legal team that included Leonora Hoicka (IP).
