Paul’s litigation practice focuses on complex commercial, securities, class action and administrative matters with special emphasis on appeals, including class action and medical malpractice disputes. He has acted in many cases of significance. He is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, listed in The Lexpert®/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada and is recommended in Chambers Global: The World’s Leading Lawyers. He is also listed by Lexpert® as one of the top 100 creative lawyers in Canada. He is co-Chair of The Advocates' Society programme on Appellate Advocacy, past Chair of the Civil Litigation section of the Ontario Bar Association, a member of the Holland Access to Justice in Medical Malpractice Group and a frequent lecturer on various litigation topics. An instructor at the Bar admission course in civil litigation for many years, Paul holds a Master of Laws from London University, England. He was called to the Ontario Bar in 1971. He has recently expanded his practice to include mediation.
