Ms. Waddell is a partner of Waddell Phillips Professional Corporation, and a leader in its Class Action Practice Group. She has particular experience and expertise in this specialized field, where she acts for both plaintiffs and defendants. Ms. Waddell has appeared as counsel in a number of precedent-establishing and well known class actions. Ms. Waddell is regularly requested to appear as a lecturer at both substantive and practical skills continuing legal education programs. Margaret is a member of the Executive of the Toronto Lawyers’ Association, co-Chair of the Ontario Bar Association Class Action Subgroup, a member of the Law Commission of Ontario’s Advisory Committee on Class Action Reform, a member of the CBA’s National Class Action Task Force, and is a former Director of The Advocates' Society where she was Chair of its Subcommittee on Advocacy and Practice.
