Karen Carteri joined the partnership of Nathanson, Schachter & Thompson where she continues her litigation practice. She was formerly the head of McMillan’s Vancouver advocacy and litigation group. Carteri, who received a Lexpert Rising Stars award in 2015, was first named equity partner at the age of 34. She focuses on commercial litigation, mostly in banking and natural resources, among other areas. Her cases include such high-profile matters as Garcia v. Tahoe Resources Inc., where she argued successfully for Tahoe’s application to stay an action on jurisdictional grounds.
