Quebecor World Amends and Restructures Credit Facilities

Quebecor World Inc., Quebecor World (USA) Inc. and Quebecor World Capital GP, the borrowers, recently amended and restructured existing credit facilities totalling US$1 billion on April 24, 2002. Royal Bank of Canada acted as administrative agent of the syndicated cross-border financing granted by Canadian, U.S. and foreign banks.
The borrowers were represented by Marie Hlavaty, executive vice-president, general counsel/governmental affairs and secretary, Quebecor World (USA), and vice-president, general counsel and secretary, Quebecor World; and by Jane Bogaty and François Courteau of Ogilvy Renault in Montreal; with assistance from John Willett, Christine Rogers and Lily Lu of Arnold & Porter in New York. Jean Lamothe and Caroline Boutin of Stikeman Elliott in Montreal acted for the syndicate of lenders.
