In Vancouver, Thomas Isaac moved to Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP, where he leads the firm’s national Aboriginal law practice group. He was previously with Osler, Hoskin & Harcourt LLP. Isaac advises energy, mining and forestry clients on project-related environmental assessment, regulatory matters, negotiations and constitutional issues. He is currently serving, along with Anne Marie Doyle, as a government ministerial special representative. Isaac helps to advance treaty and self-government negotiations with the Akaitcho Dene First Nation and the Northwest Territory Métis Nation.
