On February 1, 2006, a group of private companies owned by a private investor and the Daniels Capital Group completed a sale of 28 properties to TransGlobe Property Management Services Ltd. and to Canadian Apartment Properties Real Estate Investment Trust (CAP REIT).
Transglobe acquired 13 of the properties, which included one office building and 12 multi-family buildings consisting of 605 units. CAP REIT acquired 125 multi-family buildings
consisting of 464 units.
Transglobe was represented by Barb Lanys of Bloom & Lanys. The vendor was represented by Stikeman Elliott LLP with a team that included Eric Carmona, Corinne Pruzanski and Shana Ivall.
