She has two decades of experience in national journalism, starting as a legal journalist for The Lawyers Weekly and subsequently freelancing for other legal publications. She has also worked as an editor for all three daily broadsheets in Toronto and for Rogers Publishing. She graduated from the University of Toronto with a degree in Women's Studies and Literature and holds a master's degree in Journalism from the University of Western Ontario.
