555 Carrière Holdings Acquires Gatineau Office Tower and Secures Financing from OMERS

On August 18, 2010, an undisclosed purchaser, through a single purpose company 555 Carrière Holdings Inc., acquired a tower of approximately 440,000 square feet fully leased to the Federal Crown in Gatineau, Québec from Computershare Trust Company of Canada, as trustee.

The purchase price was approximately $44,000,000.

Financing for the acquisition of the Project in the amount of $50,000,000 was provided by OMERS Administration Corporation.

555 Carrière Holdings Inc. was represented by Kenneth Gibson of Gibsons LLP, with Fraser Milner Casgrain LLP (FMC) acting as special counsel.

The FMC team was composed of Philip Rimer and Kelly Elliott in Ottawa, Sonja Homenuck in Toronto and Yan Besner, Kiriakos Vanikiotis, Robert Béland and Rachael Golem in Montréal.
