Atrium Innovations Acquires Seroyal

On January 4, 2011, Atrium Innovations Inc. (TSX: ATB), the Québec-based developer, manufacturer and marketer of dietary supplements for the health and nutrition industry, announced its acquisition of Ontario-based Seroyal International, which commercializes premium dietary supplement brands, with annualized consolidated revenues of approximately US$40 million, for total cash consideration of US$110 million. The transaction closed on December 31, 2010.

Seroyal was represented in the United States by Kirkland & Ellis LLP with a team led by Leo Greenberg and that also consisted of Kevin Treesh and Melinda Alankar (tax) and Joung Park (corporate and M&A); and in Canada by Fogler, Rubinoff LLP with a team led by Karen Rosen that also consisted of Pinar Ozyetis and Lesley Munk (corporate and M&A).
