Black & Decker Acquires Masco Lock-set Business

The Black & Decker Corp. acquired, on September 30, 2003, Baldwin Hardware Corp. and Weiser Lock Corp. from Masco Corp. The cash purchase price for the transaction was approximately US$275 million. As a result of the acquisition, Black & Decker acquired Masco’s residential lock-set businesses, including Masco’s residential lock-set business in Canada.
