Bombardier Completes Private Placement of Notes

Bombardier Inc. completed a private placement of US$550 million aggregate principal amount of notes on April 23, 2002. The notes will bear interest at the rate of 6.75 per cent per annum and will mature on May 1, 2012. Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and UBS Warburg LLC led a group of initial purchasers in connection with the private placement. The net proceeds of the notes will be used by Bombardier for working capital and general corporate purposes.
Bombardier was represented by Ogilvy Renault, with a team consisting of Paul Raymond, Solomon Sananes and Natalie Brown; and in the U.S. by Sidley Austin Brown & Wood LLP with a team consisting of John Bonacum, III, Jonathan Miller, Benjamin Sherwin and Edward Flagg. The underwriters were represented by Richard Drucker and Sandip Bhattacharji of Davis Polk & Wardwell.
