Column Canada Issuer Completes First Canadian Offering

Column Canada Issuer Corporation, part of the Credit Suisse Group, completed its first Canadian offering of commercial mortgage-backed securities on July 30, 2002. The total public issue was approximately $292 million. The pass-through certificates were backed by a diverse pool of 53 commercial mortgages secured on properties across Canada. The majority of the mortgages were originated by Column Canada Financial Corp., part of the Credit Suisse Group. The mortgage pool also included mortgages originated by Commercial Mortgage Origination Company of Canada and Laurentian Bank of Canada.
