Domtar Files US$500M Self Prospectus

Domtar Inc. filed a final short form shelf prospectus dated November 7, 2003, and concurrently filed in the US a registration statement pursuant to the multijurisdictional disclosure system with respect to the sale in the US of up to US$500 million of debt securities.

Domtar was represented in-house by Gilles Pharand, senior vice-president, corporate, and general counsel; and Razvan Theodoru, corporate secretary; and in Canada by Ogilvy Renault, with a team that included Norman Steinberg, Clemens Mayr, Stephen Kelly and Elliott Greenstone; and in the US by Debevoise & Plimpton in New York, with a team that included Alan Paley, Claude Vuillieme and Lee Barnum.
