Dynacare Completes US$50M IPO

On November 23, 2000, Dynacare Inc. completed its US$50 million initial public offering and concurrent TSE and NASDAQ listings. The offering involved 5 million common shares priced at $10 each, through a syndicate of underwriters led by UBS Warburg. Dynacare is a Canadian company engaged in the clinical laboratory testing business in Canada and the United States, and is the third largest independent provider of clinical laboratory testing services in North America.

Representing Dynacare in Canada were Jeff Fineberg, Gary Kissack and Grant Currier of Goodman and Carr LLP, while David Stone and Ira Halperin of Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP provided US advice. McCarthy T├ętrault acted as Canadian counsel to the underwriters, with a team comprised of David Judson, Andrew Parker and Matt Howorth.
