Enbridge Completes $523.1M Public Offering and $58.1M Private Placement

On February 2, 2007 Enbridge Inc., a leader in energy transportation and distribution in North America and internationally, completed a $532.1 million public offering of its common shares. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate of underwriters led by Scotia Capital Inc. and CIBC World Markets Inc. and included BMO Nesbitt Burns Inc., RBC Dominion Securities Inc., TD Securities Inc., National Bank Financial Inc., HSBC Securities Canada Inc., Merrill Lynch Canada Inc., Morgan Stanley Canada Limited, Canaccord Capital Corporation, Desjardins Securities Inc. and FirstEnergy Capital Corp.

Enbridge was represented in Canada by its in-house legal team of Alison Love and James Lord and by McCarthy T├ętrault LLP with a team that included John Osler, Crispin Arthur and Andrea Hatzinikolas (securities) and Doug Ewens (tax) and in the US by Robert Buckholz, Jr. of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
