EnCana Completes US$1.5 Billion Debt Offering

On December 4, 2007, EnCana Corporation completed a US$1.5 billion public offering of notes in the United States. The offering was comprised of US$700 million of 10-year notes and US$800 million of 30-year notes. The offering was led by joint book-running managers Citi and UBS Investment Bank and lead manager CIBC World Markets. The offering was completed under a previously filed US$2 billion shelf prospectus dated September 22, 2006, and a prospectus supplement dated November 28, 2007.

EnCana was represented in-house by David Sheridan and was assisted in Canada by Macleod Dixon LLP with a team that included Kevin Johnson, Don Tse and Karen Uehara and in the United States by Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP with a team that included Andrew Foley and Krista Ann McDonough.
