Kildair Service US$210M Financing

Kildair Service Ltd., a Canadian subsidiary of Sprague International Properties LLC (Sprague), was provided with US$210-million syndicated credit facilities on October 30, 2013. The syndicate of lenders was led by JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., Toronto branch.

Sprague is one of the largest independent suppliers of energy and materials handling services in Northeast America with products including home heating oil, diesel fuels, residual fuels, gasoline and natural gas.

Heenan Blaikie LLP acted as Canadian counsel to Kildair Service Ltd. with a team that included Joel Cabelli, Marie-Josée Couture and Joëlle Girard (finance and banking), Louis-Philippe Borduas (finance and banking, corporate), Eric Levy (securities, corporate), Manon Thivierge (tax), Florence Dagicour (environment), Mark Newton (labour) and Normand Quesnel and Sébastien Marcoux (real estate). Heenan Blaikie was assisted by Paul Scoff, Sprague's vice president, general counsel, and chief compliance officer.
