Kimco North Trust III Issues $200M Principal Amount of Notes

On August 16, 2006, Kimco North Trust III, an entity controlled by Kimco Realty Corp., a US-based REIT, issued $200 million principal amount of notes due in 2013 by private placement. Kimco Realty, the guarantor of the notes, has a market capitalization of approximately $9.7 billion, and is the largest publicly traded owner and operator of community shopping centres in North America. The underwriters were Scotia Capital, which acted as sole lead underwriter and book-runner, and RBC Dominion Securities and CIBC World Markets.
