Quebec Amends and Renews US MTN Program

The province of Quebec amended and renewed its US medium term note program on December 11, 2003. The new syndicate of underwriters for the offering of up to US$3 billion notes, series A, due nine months or more from the date of issue is led by Merrill Lynch & Co., Credit Suisse First Boston, Citigroup and JPMorgan Chase & Co.

The province was represented by Pierre Sauvé and Bernard Blouin of Bélanger Sauvé. The underwriters were represented in Canada by Angelo Noce (corporate) and Jules Charette (tax) of Ogilvy Renault; and in the US by Robert Buckholz, Jr, and Stephen Oxman of Sullivan & Cromwell LLP.
