Quebec Completes £150 Million Offering in the Eurobond Market

On February 27, 2001, the Province of Quebec completed a £150 million offering of 5.125 per cent notes due Dec. 27, 2007 that were listed on the Luxembourg Stock Exchange. The lead underwriters for the notes were Bank Brussels Lambert SA and Banque Internationale à Luxembourg SA (on behalf of Dexia Capital Markets), while the remaining underwriters were Banque Générale du Luxembourg S.A., Banca d’Intermediazione Mobiliare IMI, Fortis Bank nv/sa, KBC Bank NV, ABN AMRO Bank NV, Artesia Banking Corporation sa/nv, AXA Bank Belgium, Banque et Caisse d’Épargne de l’État, Luxembourg, Bayerische Landesbank Girozentrale, BNP Paribas, CIBC World Markets plc, Deutsche Bank Aktiengesellschaft, National Bank Financial Inc., Société Générale, The Toronto-Dominion Bank and Westdeutsche Landesbank Girozentrale.

The underwriters were represented by Peter S. Noble and Frank L. Picciola of Ogilvy Renault’s London office and Jacques Van de Velde from Bank Brussels Lambert SA’s Securities Documentation Team.
