Royal Gold Files MJDS Shelf Prospectuses

On July 12, 2004, United States-based Royal Gold, Inc. filed two shelf prospectuses under the Multijurisdictional Disclosure System. The first MJDS prospectus qualifies the sale in nine Canadian jurisdictions of an aggregate 15,000,000 shares of common stock, and incorporates by reference the corresponding registration statement on Form S-4, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 6. The second MJDS prospectus qualifies the sale in nine Canadian jurisdictions of US$300 million in the aggregate of common stock, preferred stock, depository shares, warrants and debt securities and incorporates by reference the corresponding registration statement on Form S-3, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission on July 6.

Royal Gold was represented in the US by Hogan & Hartson, with a team lead by Paul Hilton that included Tricia Elias and Brad Bernthal; and in by Fraser Milner Casgrain, with a team that included Heather Zordel, Brian Carr, Kathleen Tutton and Gennady Ferenbok.
