Royal Group Technologies Issue $150 Million in Short Term Notes

Royal Group Technologies Limited (Royal Group) filed a short form shelf prospectus on April 7, 2000 providing for the issue of up to $400 million in Medium Term Notes prior to April 7, 2002. The initial issue of notes under the program was made on April 13, 2000, when $150 million worth of 6.90 per cent Notes, due April 13, 2010 were issued to various institutional investors. The issue of Notes is the first public issue of securities for Royal Group since November 1997. The deal was led by TD Securities Inc., who along with Scotia Capital Inc. and RBC Dominion Securities Inc., acted as agents.

Acting on behalf of Royal Group was James A. Riley, Julie Lane and Andrew Ahonen of Ogilvy Renault. The agents were advised by Edward P. Kerwin and Robert Hansen of McCarthy Tétrault.
