TPG Capital Acquires Property Information Unit of Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates

On January 4, 2011, San Francisco-based TPG Capital, a global private equity firm, acquired the Property Information business of MacDonald, Dettwiler and Associates Ltd., a provider of essential information solutions based in British Columbia. The Property Information business unit provides property information to insurance companies, lenders, and legal professionals in the US, UK and Canada. The purchase price of the transaction was approximately US$850 million.
