TransCanada PipeLines Issues US$1.25B of Senior Notes

On June 1, 2010, TransCanada PipeLines Limited closed a public offering of US$500,000,000 3.40 per cent Senior Notes due 2015 and US$750,000,000 6.10 per cent Senior Notes due 2040. The offering was made pursuant to a prospectus supplement dated May 26, 2010 to TransCanada PipeLines' December 17, 2009 short form base shelf prospectus. The offering was underwritten by a syndicate led by Deutsche Bank Securities Inc. and HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., and included Citigroup Global Markets Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities Inc., Mitsubishi UFJ Securities (USA), Inc., Mizuho Securities USA Inc., SG Americas Securities, LLC and UBS Securities LLC.
