Judy Rost is a senior Partner practising civil litigation with an emphasis on business disputes, franchise disputes and estate matters. She is a Partner, leading Alexander Holburn’s Business Disputes and Franchise Practices. Judy acts for plaintiffs and defendants in all types of commercial and franchise disputes. As a seasoned trial lawyer, Judy is highly regarded and is knowledgeable in many commercial areas, including contract disputes, commercial leases, debt collection, franchise disputes, insolvency matters, intellectual property disputes, real estate disputes, securities disputes and shareholders’ and partnership disputes and complex trust and estate matters. She has authored many papers including a chapter in the text ABA Covenants against Competition in Franchise Agreements, 3rd ed. and the Fundamentals of Franchising – Canada. She is also a frequent presenter on many litigation topics. Judy is a member of the Canadian Bar Association and the American Bar Association.
