Jennifer is a partner in the Mergers & Acquisitions, Shareholder Activism, Corporate Governance, Capital Markets & Securities and Mining practices. She advises acquirers, targets, investors, boards and special committees on contested and friendly public and private M&A, equity and debt financings, shareholder activism and engagement and private equity matters. She regularly counsels public companies on securities laws and public reporting, both in ordinary course and complex situations. Jennifer is also a corporate governance expert, guiding management, boards and committees on a wide range of governance issues and best practices, including in response to shareholder activism and with respect to transaction-specific issues. She works across a wide range of industries—including mining, energy, retail, financial services, pharmaceutical, private equity, real estate, and manufacturing and other heavy industries. Jennifer is a member of the OSC’s Securities Advisory Committee and teaches the Corporate Transactions course at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Professional Development LLM program.
