Tracy Pratt’s practice is focused on complex Indigenous law, commercial litigation, corporate social responsibility, securities litigation and corporate crime. In her Indigenous law practice, Tracy regularly works with clients in the mining, oil & gas and energy sectors, and with land developers and municipalities. Advising clients on a broad spectre of Indigenous law issues, Tracy assists clients with Indigenous and treaty rights claims, obligations of government and proponents respecting the duty to consult in various contexts, engagement of Indigenous communities, and commercial agreements. Tracy has represented clients in litigation arising out of blockades or work stoppages, including several high profile injunctions. She also has advised clients in judicial review applications, land claims and other lawsuits and various consultation processes. On the business side of her Indigenous practice, Tracy frequently advises and assists clients with MOUs, exploration, impact and benefits, joint venture, partnership and other agreements with Indigenous communities.
