Neena Gupta is a partner in the Waterloo and Toronto offices of Gowling WLG. Her practice focuses on a broad range of employment and human rights matters. Neena has advised a broad range of employers, from start-ups to world-renowned multinationals, on all aspects of employment law, including policies, offer letters, compensation plans, cross-border employment and regulatory compliance in Canada. Her clients appreciate her practical and cost-effective advice. A significant portion of her advisory practice is devoted to issues relating to Ontario’s Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) and the Pay Equity Act. She is also a senior trial lawyer in both commercial and employment cases. Neena routinely presents on Canadian employment law to a domestic and international audience through various Bar associations (IBA, OBA and The Advocates’ Society) and the Human Resources Professionals Association (HRPA). She developed the employment law course at Seneca College and taught at both the University of Toronto and Queen’s University as Adjunct Professor, Faculty of Law. She is on the board of BioTalent Canada and was previously a director with The Advocates’ Society and the Law Commission of Ontario.
