Hugo Babos-Marchand is a partner in Bankruptcy and Insolvency Group. His practice focuses primarily on bankruptcy and insolvency law, and also encompasses banking, securities and commercial law litigation, including extraordinary remedies and shareholders' disputes. Hugo regularly acts for various secured lenders, court-appointed officers, corporations and shareholders. He has represented his clients before all levels of courts in Québec as well as before the Federal Court. He completed in 2010 a master's degree in law at McGill University and his master's project dealt with the incorporation of Norwich orders in Québec judicial law. Hugo also teaches the course on Priorities and Hypothecs at the École du Barreau du Québec. Called to the Québec Bar in 2009.
