His practice focuses on providing strategic advice in all areas of law and acting as a commercial mediator and arbitrator. On the bench, he wrote about 1,500 judgments, including leading decisions in class actions, insurance, construction contracts, commercial law. Previously, a partner at McCarthy Tétrault (corporate and commercial group). He is a member of the Court of Arbitration for Sport (Lausanne) and of Arbitration Place (Toronto). He is on the arbitrators’ lists of ICDR Canada/AAA, ICC Canada and the Bar of Montreal. He is a Director of the Québec Society of Comparative Law and of the International Jurist Commission - Canada, a faculty member of the Philippe Kirsch Institute (promoting international law) and a member of the ICC Institute of World Business Law, the LCIA North American Users’ Council and the International Bar Association.
