Bruno De Vita, QC, is Managing Partner and a senior member of the firm’s litigation department. His practice is focused on insurance coverage, governmental liability, and commercial litigation. Bruno’s clients include major insurers, self-insured corporations, local governments, and religious institutions. His practice involves the handling of complex insurance coverage cases, catastrophic injury claims, product liability cases and the prosecution and defence of property damage and business interruption claims. Bruno also acts for professionals, including lawyers, real estate agents, insurance brokers and psychologists in both liability and disciplinary matters. In 2014, Bruno was honoured by the BC Branch of the Canadian Bar Association with the award of “Insurance Lawyer of the Year”. Bruno serves as Deputy Chair of the Investigatory Chamber of the Independent FIFA Ethics Committee. He is also an arbitrator of the Court of Arbitration for Sport, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he is a member of the general panel and the football panel. Bruno is a member of the Law Society of British Columbia Ethics Committee. He is also a director of Corpus Christi College and Saint Mark’s College and a trustee and honourary alumnus of Vancouver College.
