André Royer has filled a number of senior management positions in our firm and is currently the National Leader of BLG’s Labour and Employment Group. He has 30 years of experience in the fields of labour and employment law, human rights and administrative law. He represents his clients in mediations and pleads regularly before the Québec Labour Board in complaints filed under the Act respecting labour standards and the Canada Labour Code. He advises employers on labour and employment legislation and pleads regularly before the Superior Court and the Québec Court of Appeal, as well as before arbitration tribunals. Finally, he advises his clients on workforce and employment-related issues arising in commercial transactions. He also negotiates collective agreements and gives practical advice to his clients on risk management relating to disputes and on the strategic settlement of legal issues. He also advises on human rights law and the protection of privacy in the workplace. He has been a teacher at the Québec Bar School for 15 years.
