Anita Nador is a partner in the Gowling WLG's Toronto office. A lawyer and Registered Patent Agent in Canada and the US and a Registered Trademark Agent in Canada, Anita’s practice focuses on intellectual property, regulatory compliance, and commercialization planning, primarily in the life sciences and chemical sectors—including pharmaceuticals, biologics, natural health products, agriculture, foods, and medical devices. She advises on such matters as drafting and prosecuting patent applications, patent linkage/data exclusivity, product regulatory approvals, market access (pricing & reimbursement), advertising, marketing and labelling, and privacy. She also assists clients with related agreements such as licensing, distribution, clinical trial, consulting, and master services agreements and has conducted due diligence on many commercial transactions and financings. Anita is actively involved in several professional organizations and is an Adjunct Professor in Health Law at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. She has a BA in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University. In 2017, 2018, and 2019 she was recognized as a leader in her field by IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists.
