Anita Nador is a partner in the Gowling WLG's Toronto office. Being recognized in 2017 and 2018 as one of leading IP strategists by the IAM Strategy 300 – The World’s Leading IP Strategists, her practice focus is in the life sciences. She coordinates and advises clients on intellectual property, regulatory compliance and commercialization matters, from drafting and prosecuting patent applications, patent linkage/data exclusivity, product regulatory approvals, market access (pricing & reimbursement), advertising compliance, and privacy. Anita’s practice also involves commercial transactions such as licensing, distribution, clinical trial, consulting, and master services agreements and has conducted due diligence on many commercial transactions and financings with a focus on strategic intellectual property, scientific and commercialization planning. Actively involved in several professional organizations and formerly an Adjunct Professor in Health Law at the Institute of Health Policy, Management and Evaluation, University of Toronto. BA in Molecular Biophysics and Biochemistry from Yale University, and LLB from the University of Toronto. Registered Patent Agent in Canada and the US, and a Registered Trademark Agent in Canada. Admitted to the Ontario Bar in 1995.
