Monique is one of Canada's leading trademark lawyers, and is regularly featured in the industry’s leading ranking publications. Monique manages a vibrant intellectual property counselling and litigation practice, with an emphasis on trademark enforcement, anti-counterfeiting and prosecution. Monique is highly regarded for the depth of her knowledge. Monique is involved in all aspects of brand protection across a range broad range of industries, including manufacturing, music, entertainment, alcoholic beverages, pharmaceutical, hospitality, fashion and retail services. She manages the Canadian trademark portfolios of many of the world's most recognized brands, and counsels clients on both contentious and non-contentious matters. She appears before the Trademarks Opposition Board, the Registrar of Trademarks, the Federal Court and the Federal Court of Appeal. Monique is the past chair of the Canada subcommittee of INTA’s anti-counterfeiting committee. She is currently a member of INTA’s Data Protecting Committee. Monique regularly lectures on developments in trademark law. She has taught trademark law at the University of Ottawa’s Faculty of Law, and delivered the Annual Year in Review to The Law Society of Upper Canada’s annual IP event in Ottawa, Canada.
