Bryn is a partner specializing in Aboriginal law and complex corporate/commercial disputes at McCarthy Tétrault LLP. He has extensive expertise in Aboriginal law and has worked on a broad range of Aboriginal law and policy issues across Canada both in government and private practice. He regularly advises clients on Aboriginal and environmental issues relating to resource development, energy, and infrastructure projects. He has also acted as counsel in Aboriginal rights and duty to consult litigation, including for interveners in the Supreme Court of Canada. In addition to his work in private practice, Bryn has previously served as a policy and legal advisor to a former Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Northern Development Canada and a Ministerial Special Representative for Indigenous and Northern Affairs Canada on consultation and accommodation. In this latter role, he led a national engagement with Aboriginal groups, industry and government officials on how the federal government can improve its approach to the duty to consult.
