Heather Meredith is a partner in the firm’s Bankruptcy & Restructuring Group in Toronto. She practises in the areas of commercial insolvency, restructuring, bankruptcy and related litigation. She has experience in numerous complex Canadian corporate restructurings representing a wide variety of stakeholder groups including debtors, secured creditors, landlords, suppliers, monitors, trustees and receivers. Heather has been involved in numerous large Canadian corporate restructurings including the restructurings of U. S. Steel Canada, Arctic Glacier, Cash Store, Skyservice and Asset Backed Commercial Paper; as well as the cross-border restructurings of Takata, SquareTwo and Elephant and Castle. Heather received her B. Arts Sc. (Hons.) from McMaster University, her LLB from Osgoode Hall Law School and her MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University. Heather is active within the firm in student recruitment and in her role working with associates in the Toronto litigation group. She is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Turnaround Management Association, IWIRC, The Advocates’ Society and the Canadian and Ontario Bar Associations.
