Since obtaining his Doctor of Laws degree, has become one of Canada’s foremost authorities on natural resources, energy and environment. Has worked on important, varied files relating to the acquisition, development and exploitation of natural resources (mining deposits, petroleum and natural gas) at all stages (prospecting, exploration, development, pre-production and operation); rehabilitation and restoration of mining sites; negotiation and drafting of impact and benefits agreements with Native communities; preparation and implementation of environmental management systems; reviewing environmental compliance; participating in public hearings on the assessment and review of environmental impacts. Participated in preparation of laws and regulations implementing land, mining, resource and environmental regimes provided for in the James Bay and Northern Québec Agreement settling Native claims in Northern Québec. Québec Bar, 1968. Lecturer of mining law in Master of Business Law program, Faculty of Law of University of Montréal since 2007.
