Casey Halladay is a partner of McMillan LLP whose practice covers all areas of competition law, including merger clearance, cartel defence, and private antitrust litigation, as well as foreign investment review under the Investment Canada Act. He has earned a diverse range of experience in this field, having practised with leading competition law firms in Toronto, Washington and London. He serves in leadership positions in the ABA and CBA, as a Non-Governmental Advisor to the ICN, and is recognized as a leading practitioner by Chambers Global, International Who's Who of Competition Lawyers & Economists, Who's Who Legal: Canada, Lexpert®. He has been selected by Global Competition Review as one of the Top 40 competition lawyers in the world under the age of 40 (2012), by Lexpert® as one of the top 40 lawyers in Canada under 40 (2012). Mr. Halladay earned his LLB, summa cum laude, from the University of Ottawa and his LLM from the Harvard Law School, where his thesis on competitor collaborations under the US Sherman Act was a finalist in the international Swope Antitrust Writing Competition. He speaks Italian and French, and has a conversational grasp of Russian and Bulgarian. He is admitted to practice in Ontario, New York, and England and Wales.
