Sonia Bjorkquist is chair of Osler’s National Litigation Department and past president of the Advocates’ Society (2017–2018). Ms Bjorkquist defends companies in business-critical, multi-jurisdictional litigation, including class actions and commercial arbitration. Her practice focuses on commercial disputes, regulatory risk and investigations, and a wide variety of product liability matters. She is a co-author of the Oppression Remedy – a leading loose-leaf text on director liability and shareholder remedies. Ms Bjorkquist is recognized as a leading litigator in Chambers (products liability (Nationwide) and Litigation (general commercial – Ontario), Lexpert® (including Leading US/Canada Cross-Border Litigation Lawyers), The Lexpert®/American Lawyer Guide to the Leading 500 Lawyers in Canada, Best Lawyers (class actions and product liability) and Benchmark.
