Steve Rastin practises civil litigation throughout Ontario from his firm based in Simcoe County. He has tried cases at all levels of the Court system, including the Ontario Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court of Canada. He has been involved in a number of precedent setting decisions.He is past president of the Ontario Trial Lawyers Association where he introduced the OTLA Code of Ethical Conduct. He has served his profession and the public in many other ways including; lobbying at Queen's Park and at the Law Society and regularly speaking at conferences for OTLA, CBA, Osgoode and LSO. He has served his community as Rotary Club President, Hospital Board President and the Simcoe "Helmets on Kids" program. He was nominated by Canadian Lawyer as one of Canada's Top 25 Most Influential Lawyers and was awarded the J. A. McLeish Award for his contributions to advocacy, access to justice and legal scholarship.
