Aaron brings over 20 years of experience in the area of Wills, Estates and Trusts to his clients and is Repeatedly Recommended by The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory in the area of Estate and Tax Planning. Aaron is known for taking a practical approach and providing timely advice. He utilizes his background in business and real estate law to help uncover the goals of the private business owner and help develop their business succession plan. In addition to estate planning, Aaron advises executors, administrators, attorneys and trustees on how to effectively and efficiently administer estates. Aaron is a certified mediator and is currently accepting engagements to help resolve estate disputes, trust disputes, and guardianship/trusteeship disputes. He is currently a member of the Surrogate Rules Advisory Committee, which makes recommendations regarding the rules and forms relating to surrogate (estate) matters. He is a past chair of the Canadian Bar Association (Alberta – South) Wills & Trusts Section and has given many CLE presentations. He is a long-time member of the Society of Trusts and Estates Practitioners, and a Past President of the Calgary Bar Association. Aaron was appointed King's Counsel in 2024. Aaron enjoys flyfishing and spending time with his family.
