Adam Goldenberg

Adam is a Toronto-based litigation partner at McCarthy Tétrault LLP. His practice focuses on commercial matters and public law disputes, particularly in regulated industries such as telecommunications, transportation, technology, financial services, pharmaceuticals, gaming, and cannabis. A skilled and tenacious courtroom lawyer with a national practice, Adam has been counsel in more than 20 appeals to the Supreme Court of Canada and has handled matters in the courts of British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, and New Brunswick, as well as in the federal courts and before regulators and arbitral tribunals. Adam also maintains a busy pro bono practice, representing individuals and organizations in public interest litigation, particularly in matters affecting the LGBTQ2S+ community. He is an executive member of the Commercial Litigation Section of The Advocates’ Society and an Honorary Overseas Member of the Commercial Bar Association of England and Wales (Combar), serves on the Leadership Council of the World Justice Project, and is the co-author of Emergency Law in Canada: Commentary & Legislation (2021).
