Alain is a litigation partner at Jeansonne Avocats. His practice covers civil and commercial litigation, with a particular focus on defamation and protection of fundamental rights and freedoms. Alain is regularly asked to handle highly sensitive matters and to advise high-profile individuals whose reputation was interfered with. He has a delicate and strategic approach for reaching favorable solutions and ensuring discretion and timeliness for his clients. When agreements cannot be reached, Alain has successfully represented his clients before all levels of Quebec courts. In addition, Alain has a breadth of experience dealing with matters of civil liaiblity, contractual disputes, labor and employment law, transportation law, as well as shareholder disputes. A significant part of Alain's practice focuses on taking care of individuals involved in disputes against large organizations. Alain also volunteers with the Bar of Montreal. Amongst other things, he strongly believes in the importance of encouraging members of visible minority groups to join the legal profession. Since 2022, Alain is the Co-President of the Equity, Diversity and Inclusion Committee of the Bar of Montreal. He has also been invited as speaker on the topic of ethnocultural diversity in the legal profession.
