Alison is a litigation lawyer with a focus on commercial litigation and health law matters. In her commercial litigation practice, she primarily focuses on construction litigation, shareholders' disputes, partnership disputes and complex contractual disputes. She has an extensive construction litigation and arbitration experience, including major capital and infrastructure projects in various industries across Alberta. Alison's health law practice has an emphasis on representing and advising clients in medical malpractice litigation and professional complaints, including civil litigation and hospital and College complaints. She has appeared before the Alberta Court of King's Bench, the Alberta Court of Appeal, administrative bodies and in various alternative dispute resolution proceedings, including arbitration, mediation and judicial dispute resolution. As an active member of the legal and local community Alison has been an instructor for the Legal Education Society of Alberta. She is a former long-standing director of Kids Up Front (Edmonton), a local charitable organization that provides access to arts, sports and entertainment events for children and youth.
