Amy Mortimore is a senior partner and Co-Chair of the firm’s Estates & Trusts Practice group. She practises exclusively in the area of estate and trust litigation, including elder law, including co-leading the Estates & Trusts Opinions and Appeals initiative. She is committed to continuing legal education. In 2020, she co-authored the textbook British Columbia Estate Litigation, published by LexisNexis. Ms. Mortimore is a Governor of the Trial Lawyers Association of British Columbia, and has been a Director of the Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia since 2016, and currently serves as Past Chair. She also regularly chairs or speaks at multiple conferences every year, including symposia for lawyers, allied professionals, and the public. She is also a frequent contributor to legal publications, such as the Continuing Legal Education Society Estate Manuals. Ms. Mortimore has appeared at all levels of court in British Columbia and at the Supreme Court of Canada. She represents executors and trustees, beneficiaries, trust companies, non-profit organizations, and charities. She is also a member of the Canadian Bar Association Judicial Advisory Committee and Referral Counsel to the British Columbia Court of Appeal through Access Pro Bono.
