Andrea Gonsalves

Andrea is an experienced litigator, sought out for her sound judgment, practical advice, strong courtroom advocacy, and ability to develop solutions tailored to her clients’ unique interests and objectives. Andrea’s extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution spans a wide range, with particular focus in civil and commercial litigation, and administrative and public law. She regularly represents clients in cases before all Ontario and Federal courts, as well as adjudicative tribunals and private dispute resolution processes. Andrea is frequently retained to represent clients in commercial disputes, civil matters including defamation, media law and privacy torts, intellectual property disputes, employment disputes, and professional discipline matters. Drawing on her broad-based experience, Andrea provides clients with practical and strategic advice on complex issues that arise at the intersection of many of those areas. Andrea has led complex and sensitive investigations and enforcement proceedings. She has taught administrative law courses as adjunct faculty for over a decade and speaks frequently on a variety of legal topics. Prior to joining Stockwoods LLP, she clerked at the Court of Appeal for Ontario and for Justice Louis LeBel of the Supreme Court of Canada.
