Andrew Wong is a partner in Gowling WLG's Calgary office, practising in the areas of corporate, M&A, capital markets, corporate restructuring, and private equity. Possessing a unique blend of business experience – garnered by having co-founded, financed and sold a small pharmaceutical delivery technology company which developed and commercialized products that it sold to clients primarily in Canada and the US prior to joining the firm - and legal experience, Andrew understands his clients' objectives, allowing him to provide comprehensive and pragmatic legal advice. Andrew has represented domestic and international companies on public and private financings (debt and equity), public listings and exchange compliance matters, M&A (both public and private companies and share acquisitions and asset purchase and sales), private equity fund matters, corporate governance and regulatory compliance matters, commercial agreements and joint ventures, funding and commercializing technologies and management buyouts in the technology, agri-tech, food and beverage, manufacturing and professional services industries. He is also co-president of the Calgary chapter of the M&A Club of Canada. Andrew has been recognized in both The Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory and The Best Lawyers in Canada.
