Annie is an associate in the Litigation Group of Torkin Manes, with a practice encompassing all aspects of commercial litigation and other forms of dispute resolution. Leveraging strong negotiation skills with a pragmatic approach, Annie routinely advocates on behalf of a broad range of clients, from individuals to corporations. She regularly appears before the Commercial List on shareholder and partnership disputes, and has significant experience with contractual disputes and regulatory proceedings, as well as defending lawyers in professional liability claims. She also advises on commercial leasing and general real estate litigation matters. Through prior roles, Annie gained experience in high-stakes litigation, including multi-jurisdictional class actions and competition law. She has appeared before Courts of Appeal nationwide and has made written submissions to the SCC. A sought-after speaker on litigation topics, including civil procedure, contract disputes and securities litigation, and has held leadership roles in a variety of professional associations. Current President of the South Asian Bar Association; Committee Member of the Young Advocates’ Standing Committee of The Advocates’ Society; and Committee Member of the Ontario Class Actions Bench-Bar Liaison Committee.
